Today I decided to go back to the gym. I was a little nervous because I took some time off for the holidays. I wasn’t going to go but I decided not to let fear get the best of me. I could’ve just stayed home and plopped down on the couch, but that’s not going to get me back into shape.I took a moment to focus on my goal of losing weight. My nerves subsided as I imagined myself as someone who was already in shape. I imagined what my lifestyle was like. It was a lifestyle of someone who exercises daily.
When you visualize your goals as something you have already accomplished it gives more confidence and makes it easier to take the steps necessary to reach those goals. Big dreams seem a lot less daunting when have a clear vision of having already achieved them.
