In my humble opinion, the most important thing you can do to lose weight is to consistently measure your results. I like to jump on the scale every morning, to start my day. Some other people prefer to step on it once a week.
Another way you can keep track of your progress is to start a food journal. There some great apps online like MyFitnessPal, which I use. They make it so much easier to keep track of things like how much you are eating and calories you are spending on exercise. When you use it with a fitness tracker you can really see the results.
The thing to remember is that you may hit plateaus or even gain weight at times. So don’t get discouraged. Just keep at it and as long as you are spending more calories than you are taking in, you will lose weight.
